Actually I feel the AF on my 7d mark ii is working fine. In fact all the concerns of the AF or IQ arise from my plan to buy a Sigma 35mm f1.4 Art lens in the near future. Because I heard some perple having front or back focus problems with those lens, so I just try to pratice how to test the AF performance of a lens.

6D MkII + 24-105 f4 II sharpness problem. 01-25-2018 07:00 AM. recently switched from a Nikon D610 to EOS 6dMkII with a 24-105 f4 II lens. Compared to my previous camera, I noticed that the sharpness of the photos is much much lower (before I had a 24-120 f4 Nikkor, so quite similar). Also shooting with tripod, at ISO100 and f11, as in the
Used a 5Dmk111 and a Canon EF 24-70 F2.8 mk11. A lot of my shots were at 24-30mm @ f2.8 or f3.2 and a large proportion of these were out of focus. The chosen focus point was in centre but the focus in the shots was at extreme left or right! I used the same camera body with a 70-200 F2.8 L without trouble.
