The safety versions are easier to work on, have a better trigger, and better aftermarket support. SP-01s shoot great, but weigh a ton. The P-09 is a great gun too, and has a better out-of-the-box trigger. It is also a carry-able weight, as opposed to the SP-01. It also eliminates double-action operation as an option and mandates the use of an active safety. The SA will be a superior competition gun and will be much more forgiving of poor trigger control. The SP-01 will be a superior fighting pistol, although you will have to practice a little more to get good hits. In my opinion, having owned both, the Glock 19 is the more practical choice. Slightly more concealable, larger aftermarket, and has a light rail. The CZ certainly looks nicer. Try to see if you can get a CZ SP-01 or P-01, those are the full size and compact railed variants.
